If you have experienced painful or even uncomfortable eyelash extensions, they have been applied incorrectly. If your natural lashes are breaking, weakening, or thinning out, they have been applied haphazardly. If people are asking you if you have them instead of complimenting you on how pretty your eyes are, they have been applied by an inexperienced technician. Incorrectly applied eyelash extensions can damage your natural lashes. Applying clump lashes and incorrectly applying lashes can be a a very risky proposition.
This is a rather strong image of what happened to someone who had lashes done at a Nail Salon:
This photo is from someone that had clump lashes applied. Issues can also occur when individual lashes are glued incorrectly directly to the skin or in large groups to the skin.
So what can you do to protect yourself?…
First, the technician must be a licensed Esthetician! Check on this by contacting the State Board of Cosmetology.
Next, the technician must be certified. Ask who they are certified by and then contact them to confirm. Ask how long ago this was.
Also ask for testimonials from customers.
This may sound like a lot of work, but this is your eyes and your health we are talking about here!
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to call me.
